BreƱa is a district of the province of Lima. It was created in 1949 with the hope that industrial zone could emerge. During those times, World War II and the Korean War had left a great economic expectation in PerĆŗ. Regrettably, different problems made BreƱa to not develope as it was thought initially. Nowadays, you can find important historic buildings such the BasĆlica MarĆa Auxiliadora.

- If you are going to BreƱa do not forget to visit the Huaca Mateo Salado that is in the limit of BreƱa and Pueblo Libre. They open from wednesdays to sundays, from 9 am to 4 pm. The entrance for adults is S/10 and for kids under 12 years is S/1.
