The Kennedy Park, which official name is "Central Park of Miraflores", is located in the district of Miraflores and is one of the most popular tourists points of Lima. A curious fact is that it is divided in two parks, the second one has a bust of the former USA president John F. Kennedy, this explains the name by which it is known. Another curious fact is that this park has many cats that walk free and sleep there. The reason of this is that in 1994 the park had many mouses and the neighbors thought that bringing cats was the best solution.
There are a number of operators who provide valuable transport services in Parque Kennedy Miraflores. Every bus comes with neat and clean interiors. They also ensure that every passenger's comfort and safety is a top priority at all times. Some of the popular bus operators are:
- If you are a fan of the art then you'll love the Kennedy Park in Miraflores. On saturdays and fridays the park is full of artists that sell different artistic pieces and even some on them create ones for the delight of the public.
- If you are going with your sons or daughters, then reach the kids zone so they can play in the games. It is free, but we advised you to be early because usually it is crowded, especially on weekends. There is always a lady selling pop corn around.
- There are cats walking freely in the Kennedy Park. Some of them get close to the tourists and some cats even sleep on the benches! Try to not feed them with human food because it can hurt them.
You can visit Kennedy Park in any month of the year since the weather is always nice. However, if you enjoy the sun, then we advised you to go during summer, that is between mid December to March.
