The main square of Trujillo is the place where the city was founded. The citadel was declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the UNESCO and it’s the biggest american city built of adobe, with an extension of more than 12 mi (20 km2). Besides of having the name of both huacas, the archaeological site that allows visit is the Huaca de la Luna, since the Huaca del Sol hasn’t been explored yet. In this Huaca you will appreciate the architectectural and stylistic legacy of the Moche culture in each wall, where there are images that represent the mochica deities.
